FTG Circuits-Toronto Increased Qual By US DoD To Include Flexible & Rigid Flex Circuit Boards

Toronto, April 1, 2015 – Firan Technology Group Corporation (TSX:FTG) announced today that its Circuits – Toronto facility has added flexible and rigid flex printed circuit boards to its qualification under Military Specification MIL-PRF-31032. This certification is in addition to the multiple existing certifications for a wide range of technologies already held by the facility.

The certification allows the site to build and certify rigid flex circuit boards up to 12 layers thick, with drilled vias down to 0.008″ in diameter, with conductors down to 0.004″ in width, and with a range of surface finishes. To achieve these qualifications, FTG Circuits was required to build sample products meeting all of the technical requirements and to pass multiple tests to demonstrate the product meets the quality requirements of end-users.

This achievement recognizes FTG’s continuous commitment towards Operational Excellence and its ability to meet the stringent requirements for products developed for defense applications. The certificate was awarded by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Defense Supply Center in Columbus, Ohio, a division of the Department of Defense.
