Firan Technology Group Corporation Completes US Department of Defense Quality Certification

Toronto, Ontario – May 3, 2006 – Firan Technology Group Corporation (TSX: FTG) announced today that the FTG Circuits Toronto facility has completed certification, through the Defense Supply Center Columbus, to the United States Department of Defense Performance Specification MIL-PRF-31032 for the manufacture of printed circuit boards for military applications. This certification also includes Laboratory Suitability Status for FTG”s in-house laboratory for quality testing of product.

FTG Circuits has been approved for all major laminate types including Epoxy, BT, Polyimide, Thermount and Teflon. The qualifications were completed with 20 layer constructions for all materials except Teflon. Included in the approval are all major types of surface finishes as well as sequential lamination and micro via, laser drilled product.
