Firan Technology Group Corporation (FTG) Completes Transition of Aerospace Business to New Facility

Toronto, November 1, 2007 – FTG announced today they have completed the move and transition of all production of their FTG Aerospace business to a new larger facility. The new facility enabled FTG Aerospace to move from three separate facilities into a single, right-sized facility and provides significant additional manufacturing efficiencies and was designed utilizing the Lean manufacturing methods learned over the past two years.

The facility is approximately 34,000 square feet providing more space than the three facilities and there is an option to add up to 30% more space to the facility if needed. The facility is within 5 kilometers of the previous site and all of the skilled staff employed in the business were retained.

FTG Aerospace vacated the previous facilities effective October 31, 2007.

“In the new facility, there is a larger infrastructure which includes expanded paint booths, machine shop and assembly areas. This is a great platform to enable continued growth of our cockpit lighting business,” stated Brad Bourne, President and CEO, FTG Corporation.
